An important message from Express Chemist

In these unprecedented times due to COVID-19 we are listening to the latest advice from the government and their health specialists. We are continuing to work in these challenging times so that we can serve the needs of our customers.

Please note that we are receiving a particularly high volume of orders, enquiries, telephone calls and emails. We are working exceptionally hard to process orders and respond to customer enquiries as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it is currently taking a little longer to process and dispatch orders than usual, so please allow 2-3 working days for shipment.

Please also note that postal services and couriers are experiencing similar challenges so please allow longer delivery times than usual. We would be grateful if you can be patient and not contact us regarding your order before these times are up so we can reduce the pressure on our customer service team.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Zincatest is a simple and non-invasive test, which gives an indication of your zinc status. Zincatest can also be taken as a zinc supplement, drunk neat or diluted with water or orange juice. It is recommended to those who find zinc in tablet or capsule form difficult to swallow.
  • Clear liquid solution.
  • 100ml bottle.
  • A mineral supplement and status test.
  • Suitable to dilute.
  • Refined cereal grains contain 90% less zinc than they once did.
  • 1 in 3 adults in the UK have a zinc deficiency.
The refining of cereal grains, a major dietary staple in the UK, has been shown to remove up to 90% of the available zinc content of these foodstuffs. This, combined with the growing trend to eat less animal delivered protein, is likely to be one of the reasons why a staggering one in three adults in the UK receives less than the Reference Nutrient intake (RNI) for this mineral.

Directions for use:
As a food supplement: Take one 5ml spoonful of Zincatest daily. You may wish to dilute the liquid in water or orange juice.
As a taste test to indicate zinc status: Take the test at least one hour after food or drink. Simply add 5ml of Zincatest solution to 60ml of water and immediately swirl one 5ml spoonful of the diluted solution around in your mouth for 10 seconds. the solution can be spat out or swallowed.

Results:
  • Tasteless like water = Low level.
  • Slightly dry, furry, mineral-like or even sweet taste develops after a few seconds = Marginally low level.
  • Definite taste, which intensifies with time = Marginally positive level.
  • Strong unpleasant taste noticed immediately = Positive level.
If response corresponds to 1 or 2 above, use a zinc supplement or Zincatest until response improves to 3 or 4. A 3-6 month course may be necessary. A fresh solution should be made up each time a test is required.

Suitable for vegetarians.

Ingredients:
Zinc (as Zinc Sulphate) 15mg.
