Please also note that postal services and couriers are experiencing similar challenges so please allow longer delivery times than usual. We would be grateful if you can be patient and not contact us regarding your order before these times are up so we can reduce the pressure on our customer service team.

Cradle Cap

Cradle cap, also known as infantile seborrhoeic dermatitis, is a very common condition that affects most newborn babies and young children at some point during their infancy. The Cradle cap condition is most likely to appear during a child's first three months. Cradle cap generally lasts for a few weeks or months and should disappear altogether around the age of two. However you can speed up the process by using a Cradle cap treatment product or shampoo on the affected area.

Cradle cap is characterised by thick, greasy, scaly yellow patches or scab-like plaques on the surface of the skin. Despite its unpleasant appearance, cradle cap is a temporary and harmless condition that won't cause your little one any bother or irritation at all. In fact, your baby probably won't even know that they have the condition.

Cradle cap usually starts out as a red, scaly rash on the scalp that develops into the scaly patches. The cause of cradle cap is not known, but many believe that it might be due to an overproduction of sebum in the sebaceous glands caused by hormones from the mother remaining in the baby's system after birth.
