Mouth Ulcers

Mouth ulcers are painful sores in the mouth. Mouth ulcers can appear inside the cheeks and lips as well as on the tongue and gums. Mouth ulcers can occur individually or in groups. Latest estimates are that approximately 25 percent of people will experience mouth ulcers at some point in their lives.
What causes ulcers in the mouth?
Mouth ulcers are caused by physical or chemical trauma damaging the soft pink tissue. Mouth ulcers can be painful and some people can become persistent sufferers. If you often have mouth ulcers make sure that you eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and that you rest properly and avoid stress (a common cause).
