Peptac liquid Aniseed flavour for the relief of heartburn and acid indigestion.
  • May be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.
  • Aniseed flavour.
How to take this Peptac Liquid:
To be taken by mouth, after meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use. Leave 1-2 hours between taking this medicine and other medicines.

Before you take Peptac:
Take special care if you are: Allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
On a sodium restricted diet: 10ml of this medicine contains about 6 mmoles of sodium.

Tell your doctor if:
You are taking any other medicines especially:ACE inhibitors, analgesics, antibiotics, antiepileptics, antifungals, antimalarials antipyschotics, bisphosphonhates, lithium and penicillamine.

How to take Peptac Aniseed Liquid:
To be taken by mouth, after meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use. Leave 1-2 hours between taking this medicine and other medicines.

The usual Peptac Aniseed Liquid dose is:
Adults and children over 12 years2 to 4 5ml spoonfuls.
Children 6 to 12 years.1 to 2 5ml spoonfuls.
Children under 6 yearsNot recommended


Each 5ml of this medicine contains:
133.5mg Sodium Bicarbonate, 250mg Sodium Alginate, 80mg Calcium Carbonate. Also contains Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Saccharin Sodium, Ethyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (216), Butyl Parahydroxybenzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Erythrosine Colour, aniseed Oil, Purified Water.

If you take more of this medicine than you should:
Contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Peptac Side effects:
Are occasional and may include constipation, flatulence, stomach cramps and belching.

Warning:
This medicine contains Butyl Parahydroxybenzoate, may cause an allergic reaction (possibly delayed)
