Silver elements contain anti-bacterial properties which can help be used to protect wounds against infection to aid the healing process.
Hartmann Atrauman Ag thin and soft contact dressings are coated in silver elements for anti-bacterial effect. The fabric fibers are also impregnated to prevent adhesion to the wound for easy, painless dressing and to help prevent maceration. The impregnation is non-medicated and contains no paraffin so no reduce is left behind.

  • Protects the wound edges helping to prevent maceration.
Directions for Use:
Consult a healthcare professional before use.
Remove from sterile pack and one side of the paper cover.
Apply to wound ensuring the dressing is not overlapping. Cut to size in needed while paper covers are still on.
Remove the remaining outwards facing paper cover and secure with a secondary dressing.
Change with every dressing and do not wear the same dressing for more than 7 days.

Precautions:
  • Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
  • Seek medical assessment before use of this dressing.
  • So not to reduce the efficacy do not use in combination with dressings or ointments containing paraffin.
  • Must not be use in combination with iodine-containing preparations.
Ingredients:
Support fabric made of polyamide fibres coated with elemental silver.
The impregnation is non-medicated and triglyceride based (neutral lipids) which contains (INCI assigned names): Caprylic, Capric, Stearic Triglyceride; Bis-diglycerylpolyacyladipate-2 and Macrogol 2000.
