Clearpore is a discreet, transparent polyurethane dressing with an absorbent pad and a skin-friendly, hypoallergenic adhesive. It maintains an ideal moist wound-healing environment and has a high moisture vapour transmission rate (905.40g/m²/24hrs), allowing water vapour and oxygen to pass through while forming a strong barrier against viral and bacterial contamination.

  • Post-operative wounds.
  • Lacerations.
  • Abrasions.
  • Minor cuts.
Indications:
Clearpore is a self-adhesive dressing, ideal for low to moderately exuding wounds. They can be used on surgical wounds, minor burns, cuts and abrasions.

Directions of use:
  1. Measure wound site to ensure correct size of dressing.
  2. Open the package and remove the dressing.
  3. Remove one section of backing paper, exposing adhesive surface.
  4. Fixate dressing, ensuring the wound is centred to the pad.
  5. remove rest of the backing paper, smooth the border firmly to obtain adhesion.
  6. Do not stretch the dressing when applying.
  7. Remove top protective layers using the blue edges.
Frequency of change:
Clearpore should be changed according to the clinical condition of the wound or when saturated. The dressing may be left in situ for up to 7 days.

Removal:
  1. Avoid skin trauma by using a stretch and release method to break the adhesive bond rather than pulling it up from the skin.
  2. Start at one edge of the dressing, gently grasp the edge of the dressing and slowly stretch while remaining parallel to the skin, then release.
  3. Repeat the process around the dressing until the dressing can be lifted away from the wound.
  4. Dispose as a clinical waste according to local protocols.
Precaution:
To prevent skin shearing, do not apply under tension. Dressing should not be applied to patients who are known to be sensitive to acrylic adhesives or to individuals who have very fragile or easily damaged skin. Single-use only.
Do not re-use or re-sterilise.
