An important message from Express Chemist

In these unprecedented times due to COVID-19 we are listening to the latest advice from the government and their health specialists. We are continuing to work in these challenging times so that we can serve the needs of our customers.

Please note that we are receiving a particularly high volume of orders, enquiries, telephone calls and emails. We are working exceptionally hard to process orders and respond to customer enquiries as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it is currently taking a little longer to process and dispatch orders than usual, so please allow 2-3 working days for shipment.

Please also note that postal services and couriers are experiencing similar challenges so please allow longer delivery times than usual. We would be grateful if you can be patient and not contact us regarding your order before these times are up so we can reduce the pressure on our customer service team.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Givenchy

Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy was born in Beavais, France in 1927. At the age of 17 he left his home town for Paris to become a couturier's apprentice. He soon became well known for the relaxed chic of his clean, elegant tailoring; a unique blend of French elegance and American glamour.

Givenchy launched his first perfume, L'Interdit, in 1957. The fragrance was created solely for Audrey Hepburn whose presence in the limelight popularised the Givenchy name, helping to transform it into the contemporary icon it is today.

Hubert De Givenchy retired in 1995 but since then Givenchy has continued to dominate the fashion world, attracting a series of famous designers to enter it's doors, amongst them John Galliano and Alexander McQueen.

In the 21st century Givenchy represents a huge proportion of the fragrance market with over 160 fragrances available. Producing classics and newer, lighter fruity fragrances the Givenchy appeal is varied and far-reaching.
