Similarly, Glutamine is excellent for maintaining gut health. It is known as the "gut restorer" as it re-fuels the cells in the lining of the small intestine.Glutamine is naturally found in chicken, fish, beef, eggs, dairy products, wheat, certain vegetables and parsley. How to take: For gut health: 5g Mixed into water of fruit juice. Take at least half an hour before or after food or take before bed time. Do not exceed this dose.
For sports recovery: 5g mixed with a drink (including protein shakes, juice or squash) just before exercise. Take a further 5g if desired before bedtime. Do not exceed this recommended dose. Do not take if pregnant or breast feeding. Ingredients: L-Glutamine. 5g (one serving) = 20kcal.
