Candidal Infections
Candida is a yeast that is naturally present in humans, both inside and outside the body. Changes in the levels of candida can lead to fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes, particularly in warm, moist places. The most common examples of candidal infections are thrush and sweat rash.
Antifungals such as clotrimazole (Canesten) that target yeast and fungus infections provide effective relief from candidal conditions.
