Bunion Relief
A bunion (Hallux Valgus) is a painful swelling at the base of the big toe. They occur when the big toe becomes angled towards the second toe, which in turn forces the top metatarsal to protrude from the side of the foot.
The bony swelling can be very painful when walking or wearing tight shoes, it can also be hard and uncomfortable to move the big toe. It is not known what causes a bunion to occur but wearing ill fitting shoes could be a factor.
