Some types of malaria require that you take more than one type of tablet, at the same time, to help prevent malaria. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended for non immune residents and travellers to malarious areas as these individuals have little or no immunity to malaria and risk severe attacks. You should ask your doctor or pharmacist if these are the right anti-malarials for the part of the world you are visiting. If in doubt, phone or email us. Adults: Two 'Avloclor' tablets should be taken once a week, on the same day each week. Two 'Paludrine' tablets should be take daily. Children younger than 1 year: Do not give to children under 1 year of age Children 1 to 4 years: 'Avloclor' (on the same day each week): half a tablet 'Paludrine' (at the same time each day) half a tablet Children 5 to 8 years: 'Avloclor' (on the same day each week): one tablet. 'Paludrine' (at the same time each day) one tablet Children 9 to 14 years: 'Avloclor' (on the same day each week): one and a half tablets. 'Paludrine' (at the same time each day) one and a half tablets Adults and Children: You should start the pack (taking both types of tablet) one week before entering the malarious area and continue during your stay and for 4 weeks after leaving the area.
