Promethazine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets can be used in adults for the short term use for insomnia, hay fever or rashes such as hives and nettle rash. promethazine is also used to help alleviate travel sickness.

• Behaves as an antihistamine to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever, rashes and hives
• An antiemetic to help prevent travel sickness.
• Short term sedative.

As an Antiemetic (Travel sickness).
Children 2-5 years	The use of Promethazine liquid is recommended for this age group.
Children 5-10 years	1 tablet the night before the journey. This may be repeated after 6-8 hours if necessary.
Children over 10 years and adults	2 tablets the night before the journey. This may be repeated after 6-8 hours if necessary.

Children 2-5 years.	The use of Promethazine liquid is recommended for this age group.
Children 5-10 years	2 tablets as a single dose at night time.
Children over 10 years and adults	2-5 tablets as a single dose at night time.

As an antihistamine in allergy
Children 2-5 years	The use of Promethazine liquid is recommended for this age group.
Children 5-10 years.	A single dose of either 1 or 2 tablets at night, or 1 tablet twice a day. Dose must not exceed 2 tablets a day.
Children over 10 years and adults	Start with 1 tablet twice a day this may be increased to a maximum of 2 tablets 3 times a day.

Warning:
Not for use in children under the age of 5 years.
Do not exceed the stated dose. May cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drinks. Promethazine should not be used for more than 7 days without medical advice.

Ingredients:
Each sugar coated tablet contains Promethazine Hydrochloride 10mg.
Also contains lactose and sucrose.
Tablets are for oral use only.
