The importance of Omega-3 and DHA

Omega-3 contains a special class of polyunsaturated fatty acids that are usually found in oily fish (sardine and salmon), plant seed and nut oils. The results of scientific studies, indicate the benefits of dietary Omega-3 fatty acids in areas such as the brain, heart, bone and joint health. Omega-3 is now recognised as an essential ingredient for maintaining eye health from birth, right through into old age. The most relevant Omega-3 fatty acid for the maintenance of vision is Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA).

DHA plays an important role in structural and functional development, as it is a constituent of special cells in the retina known as photoreceptors. Photoreceptors contain the highest concentration of DHA of any cell in the body, and are responsible for converting light into nerve signals. The human retina contains millions of photoreceptors, with many designed for the detection of colour (cone cells) and low light (rod cells). Directions for Use:
Visionace Plus Omega 3 is blister packed to keep each tablet or capsule fresh by reducing exposure to the atmosphere.
Take one tablet (Aqua blue blister) per day, plus one capsule (Pink blister) per day.
