Nurofen Liquid Capsules break down easily in the body and the liquid, which is released from the capsule, is easily absorbed into the body to get to the site of pain quickly. Nurofen Liquid Capsules are for the relief of headaches, migraine, backache, period pain, dental pain, neuralgia, muscular pain, rheumatic pain, cold and flu symptoms and feverishness. Each Nurofen Liquid Capsule contains the active ingredient ibuprofen Ph. Eur. 200mg. Nurofen liquid Capsules contain ibuprofen which belongs to a group of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs provide relief by changing the body's response to pain, swelling and high temperature. Also contains: Polyethylene Glycol 600, Potassium Hydroxide, Hydrogenated Glucose Syrup, Gelatin, Ponceau 4R (E 124), Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, Polyvinyl Acetate Phthalate, Polyethylene Glycol 400. IMPORTANT You should not take Nurofen Liquid Capsules if: You have or have ever had a stomach ulcer; You have had an allergic reaction to aspirin, ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients listed above; You have had a worsening of asthma, allergic rash or itchy, runny nose when taking similar medicines. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nurofen Liquid Capsules if: You are asthmatic, or suffering from heart, liver or kidney disease; You are taking regular medication, especially medicine for high blood pressure eg. water tablets (diuretics), or anti-coagulants (blood thinners), Lithium or Methotrexate; You are pregnant or breast feeding; You are allergic to or taking any other painkillers; You have been told to restrict your potassium intake.
