Calcium 500mg/Magnesium 250mg plus Boron and Vitamins D & K.
Osteguard provides calcium and magnesium in a 2:1 ratio, along with boron and the vitamins D and K, which facilitate the utilisation of calcium. Whilst one tablet a day provides good support for most diets, two tablets a day is particularly beneficial for those with diets conatining very little dairy produce or those of menopausal age.

It is well established that many people's diets are deficient in two essential bone-making nutrients, calcium and magnesium, and that low calcium intakes can contribute to osteoporosis. The Department of Health recommends that women should have an intake of up to 1200mg of calcium per day, a level that is hard to achieve through diet alone, especially is the diet contains little dairy produce.
Calcium has the the essential role as the mineralising agent for our bones and teeth and not only assists in maintaining healthy bones but a healthy nervous system too. Magnesium, which is increasingly absent from the food we eat, is also necessary for a healthy nervous system and a sufficient amount is required to maintain nerve health. Magnesium is known to help in the deposition of calcium in to the bones rather than in to the soft tissues in our body and a dietary intake in the ratio of 2:1, calcium:magnesium is often recommended. Both calcium and magnesium are presented together because too much calcium can lead to low levels of magnesium, Lamberts Osteoguard formulation supplies adequate amounts of both Calcium and Magnesium in one tablet.
In situations where calcium adsorption is of critical importance, it may be helpful to consider using Osteoguard Synergy as well. Osteoguard Synergy is a soluble fibre preboitic, not a calcium supplement, that studies indicate may modify the bowl flora in a positive way that improves the absorption of calcium.
Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets per day.
Precautions: Over 400mg of magnesium may cause stomach upset in sensitive individuals.
Disintegration time: Less than 1 hour.
