Frio Wallets - Re-usable, durable and long lasting. The FRIO Insulin travel wallet is an evaporative cooling unit designed to keep insulin cool within safe temperatures of 18-26°C, even when in constant temperatures of 37.8°C. When submerged in water for as little as 5 minutes (depending on size), Insulin will stay at this safe temperature for a minimum of 45 hours, lasting up to 5 times longer than a ice pack.

This Frio Insulin Cooling Travel Wallet - Duo can carry various combinations of pens, vials and cartridges as follows:
Two insulin injection pens, either pre-filled disposable pens or refillable pens.
OR
One insulin injection pen plus 2 x 3ml cartridges or one insulin pen plus 3 x 1.5ml cartridges.
OR
2 x 10ml vials (bottles).
The FRIO Wallet is available in various sizes to suit all needs. It can also be used for other medications that can be stored at room temperature such as glaucoma eye drops, Growth Hormone, anaphylactic shock therapies etc. However, it is advised that users of medication other than insulin check with their doctor or their pharmacist or the manufacturer's information leaflet for the specific safe storage requirements.
Dimensions: Inner Wallet: 83mm x 180mm (3.5" x 7"approx).
Directions: Crystals contained in the panels of the wallet expand into a gel, which remains cool for 45 hours. To activate the crystals, the pouch must be immersed in water for as little as 5 minutes (depending on size). Once the crystals have gelled, the insulin can be stored inside and will remain cool for 45 hours - relying on the process of evaporation for cooling.
