Co-codamol Effervescent Tablets - Each Tablet Contains 500mg Paracetamol and 8mg Codeine Phosphate.
Co-codamol is for the treatment of pain, including muscular and rheumatic pains, headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat, period pains, aches and pains, discomfort associated with influenza, feverishness and feverish colds.
Directions: For oral use. Adults and children over 12 years - One or two Co-codamol tablets dissolved in water every 4-6 hours as required to a maximum of 8 tablets daily. Children 6-12 years - 1/2 to 1 Co-codamol tablet dissolved in water every 4-6 hours as required to a maximum of 4 tablets daily. Co-codamol tablets are not scored and care should be taken to half them accurately. Discard the unused half of the tablet. Dissolve Co-codamol Effervescent tablets in at least half a glass of water before taking.
Warnings: Co-codamol is not recommended for children under 6 years or age. Do not exceed the stated dose. Co-codamol contains paracetamol, do not take with other paracetamol-containing products. If you need to take Co-codamol for more than 3 days at a time, see your doctor or pharmacist. Taking codeine regularly for a long time can lead to addiction. Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse.
Please Note: Due to MHRA regulations we can only despatch one box of Codeine-containing products at a time. Multiple orders will not be accepted. Codeine should not be taken for longer than 3 days as this can cause addiction. If you are still experiencing pain after 3 days of using Codeine please see your doctor.
