Daktacort HcDaktacort hydrocortisone cream has a triple action formula to treat inflamed sweat rash and athlete's foot.- Triple action hydrocortisone: Antibacterial • Antifungal • Anti-inflammatory.
- Daktacort HC is a white cream containing: Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w, Hydrocortisone acetate equivalent to hydrocortisone 1% w/w.
- Use Daktacort to treat athlete's foot and candidal sweat rash subjected to redness, itching and soreness.
- One 15g tube will cover a 7 day treatment.
What is Daktacort?Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream contains two types of medicine: Hydrocortisone acetate - a mild 'topical steroid' which reduces inflammation, swelling, redness and itching of the skin and Miconazole nitrate - an Anti-fungal which destroys the fungi and some bacteria associated with causing skin infections. Daktacort Hydrocortisone Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as sweat rash or athlete's foot when you have additional symptoms of inflammation (such as swelling, redness and itching). You should only use Daktacort on the two conditions below:
Athlete's foot - a fungal skin infection causing soreness, itching and flaking between the toes or on the sales or sides of the feet. Fungal sweat rash (candidal intertrigo, or 'thrush' of the skin-folds) - a sore, itchy red rash found in areas where the skin rubs together e.g. below or between the breasts, underarms or tops of legs.DO NOT use Daktacort:To treat ringworm. Yes, ringworm is a fungal condition but Daktacort cannot be sold to treat ringworm unless prescribed by your doctor.To treat Jock Itch. Hydrocortisone creams can thin the skin and are not recommended for use on the genitals or anus. Express Chemist recommends you use an antifungal alone to treat the problem.For more than 7 days.On a child under 10 year old.On broken skin or on skin conditions like acne, cold sores, herpes, chicken pox or shingles.On the faceDirections:Wash the affected area and dry well. If you use a towel to dry yourself, do not share it with others as the infection can spread. Apply the cream to the infection and the surrounding area. Wash hands properly after the application to avoid the infection spreading.Ingredients (per 1g): Miconazole nitrate 20mg • Hydrocortisone Acetate (equivalent to 10mg hydrocortisone) • Macrogol 6-32 stearate • glycol stearate • oleyl macrogolglycerides • liquid paraffin • butylhydroxyanisole • benzoic acid • disodium edetate • sodium hydroxide • purified water.
