Prioderm Cream Shampoo contains the following active ingredient:
Malathion USP 1.0% w/w
It also contains the following inactive ingredients:
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate paste, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Lauric Diethanolamide, Ethoxylated Lanolin (50%), E216, E218 Hydrochloric Acid, Citric Acid (anhydrous), Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, Colour Yellow (E110), Sodium Edetate, Perfume M & B 1658. Purified Water.
Do not use Prioderm Cream Shampoo if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed above.
Make sure Prioderm Cream Shampoo is suitable for you to use - ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use on children aged six months and under unless under medical supervision.
If you are a healthcare professional treating a large number of patients, then wear protective plastic or rubber gloves.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Prolonged or repeated use with this product should be avoided. It should be used for not more than three times at three day intervals and then not repeated within a three week period.
For external use only.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, consult your doctor before using this product.
This treatment may affect pre-rinsed, permed, coloured or bleached hair.
As this product does not contain alcohol, it may be more suitable for those with Asthma or Eczema.
Adults, the elderly and children aged 6 months and over I
For Head lice
1. Wet the hair thoroughly with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to work up a rich lather and ensure that no part of the scalp is uncovered. Take care to avoid the eyes.
2. Leave for at least five minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean warm water and repeat procedure.
4. While hair is still wet, comb with an ordinary comb.
5. This treatment should be carried out a total of three times at three day intervals.
Infants under six months of age should only be treated under medical supervision.
For Pubic lice:
Application and dosage are as for the head. Apply the shampoo to the pubic hair and the hair between the legs and anus. |
