If you suffer from occasional diarrhoea, Diocalm can help provide relief. Diocalm works using a dual-action formula that helps reduce the frequency of bowel movements, and also makes the stools less watery.

- Occasional diarrhoea and its associated pain and discomfort
- Adults: 2 tablets every 2-4 hours as required. Maximum 12 tablets in 24 hours. Replace lost fluids
- Children 6-12 years: 1 tablet every 2-4 hours as required. Maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours
- Not to be given under 6 years
About the active ingredients in DiocalmMorphine hydrocholoride works by slowing down the muscles in the intestines. This prevents food from passing through the system too quickly and gives it time to be absorbed into the body. This means that you digest food more slowly, pass stools less frequently and that the stools have time to become more solid in the intestines.
Attapulgite is a mineral that helps absorb water in the gut. This makes the stools more solid. The attapulgite is then passed out safely with the stools.
Diocalm should not be taken when pregnant or breastfeeding. Not for children under 6 years.
For sudden, severe attacks of diarrhoea (for example, whilst on holiday), you may prefer to try Diocalm Ultra.
