The "friendly bacteria" contained in each lozenge is Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis** and has been clinically proven to help restore the natural balance of the mouth and improve gum health. Two complementary strains of Lactobacillus reuteri were originally discovered in breast milk and saliva. These friendly bacteria are able to survive and thrive in the oral cavity. The lozenges promote oral health and counteract the imbalance caused by oral antiseptics and antibacterials found in mouthwashes and ulcer gels.

How to Use PerioBalanceTake ONE dissolving mint lozenge once a day after brushing and flossing. Allow lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth for at least 10 minutes, allowing the active ingredients to spread around the oral cavity and adhere to oral mucosa.
Please note: Lactobacillus reuteri is proven to be safe in both normal and immunocompromised adults, in children and in newborn babies and infants.IngredientsEach lozenge contains at least 200 million live Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis and provides a guaranteed effective level until at least the "best by" date. Other ingredients: isomalt, hydrogenated palm oil, hydrogenated cotton seed oil, peppermint aroma, menthol flavour, peppermint oil and sucralose.
* Those on the following medication are more susceptible to gum infection: oral contraceptives, antihistamines, antidepressants, cancer drugs, steroids and drugs that cause "dry mouth".
**Lactobacillus reuteri Prodentis is a patented mixture of the complementary strains L.reuteri ATCC 55730 and L.reuteri ATCC PTA 5289 added to the lozenge in equal amounts.
