Cough Medicines For Dry, Tickly Coughs The Dry, Tickly Cough is an unproductive version of the common cold, where the symptoms typically come without bronchial congestion (found in chesty coughs). Instead, these types of coughs aggravate the back of the throat and lungs, causing a continuous and persistent cough that can be very painful if it is accompanied by a sore throat. The irritating cough reflex can easily be triggered by the environment you are in; for e.g. central heating (which can be frustrating during the cold winter months).
