SMA Anti-Reflux Infant Milk (From Birth) is a nutritionally complete infant milk for babies with significant reflux (regurgitation). SMA Anti-Reflux can be used as the sole source of nutrition from birth in place of your usual formula feed, and can be mixed with foods once weaning has begun.
SMA Anti-Reflux Infant Milk can be used until 12 months of age. However all babies are individual, and the problem may stop around the time of weaning, in which case you can switch back to an infant formula such as SMA First Infant Milk. If your baby is 6 months month or over you may choose a follow-on milk such as SMA Follow-on Milk, which is specially formulated for older babies.
SMA Staydown contains a natural corn (maize) starch which helps the feed settle more easily. Unlike the other formulae, SMA Staydown Infant Milk should be made up with chilled water that has been previously boiled. Staydown has a normal consistency in the bottle and will flow through a standard teat.
Always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, health visitor, public health nurse, dietitian or pharmacist on the need for and proper method of use of infant milks and on all matters of infant feeding. SMA Staydown is intended to replace breast milk when mothers do not breastfeed and when significant reflux (regurgitation) is a problem. If the baby's reflux does not improve within two weeks of starting SMA Staydown, or if the infant fails to thrive, the family doctor should be consulted.
Not suitable for Halal or Vegetarian or those who allergic to cows milk protein, lactose intolerant, or who suffer from galactosaemia or require a galactose free free diet.
