Motilium 10 tabletsRelieves post-prandial (after-meal) symptoms of fullness, nausea, epigastric bloating and belching and other stomach discomfort including vomiting.- Each Motilium 10 Tablet contains Domperidone maleate as domperidone base 10mg.
- Motilium 10 is taken to relieve the feelings of nausea (sickness or queasiness), fullness, belching and heavily bloated stomach, trapped wind and heart burn after a meal, as well as vomiting caused by stress, migraine, food poisoning, period pain, overindulgence / food and drink and the winter vomiting bug / virus.
- Motilium 10 helps the stomach to move food contents through the digestive system normally. The active ingredient domperidone helps normalise the stomach's digestive rhythm by improving coordination.
- Helps stop nausea and vomiting by influencing the vomiting centre via the CTZ (chemoreceptor trigger zone).
- Not suitable for those under 16 years of age.

About Motilium 10Motilium 10 medicine is a treatment for uncomfortable digestive complaints experienced after eating food. These discomforts may be felt because the gut's rhythm has slowed down and is not moving stomach contents in the right direction or effectively. The active ingredient in Motilium 10 (domperidone maleate) works on the digestive system, helping the food to move through it correctly.Nausea or upset stomach can be caused or aggravated by: - Over eating.
- Eating too quickly.
- Sensitivity to certain foods that "triggers" a reaction such as coffee, fatty foods and alcohol.
To avoid recurrent symptoms, cut down on the foods/drinks that trigger a reaction. Stop snacking on fatty foods and eat regularly; 3 to 4 meals a day gets the body into a regular routine. Make sure you don't rush your meals. Important information!Do not take Motilium:- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
- If you have a disease of the pituitary gland.
- If you have a digestive illness such as a stomach ulcer, a blocked or perforated gut, black stools, frequent severe stomach cramps, kidney or liver problems.
- If you are taking the following medicines: Oral ketoconazole (oral anti-fungal), Oral erythromycin (an anti-biotic).
If you are pregnant or breast feeding:- Check with your doctor before taking Motilium 10 if you think you might be pregnant.
- Do not take Motilium 10 if you are breast feeding as small amounts of the medicine may get into the milk.
Talk to your doctor first if you are intolerant to some sugars. This medicine contains lactose.Directions:Adults over 16 years and the elderly:
1 tablet 3 times daily as required and at night. Do not take more than the stated dose. Do not take more than 4 tablets within a 24 hour period.Motilium 10 is a short term treatment only. If you are still experiencing symptoms of stomach discomfort after 2 weeks, or nausea and vomiting after 48 hours, speak to your doctor. Ingredients:
