This soft Beaming Baby natural sponge provides a beautiful washing experience, it expands when wet and is ideal for a gentle wash at bath time. There is no synthetic sponge that can duplicate the feeling of a natural sea sponge against baby skin or even hold the amount of water that a natural sponge can hold. The natural sponge creates a thick lather very quickly, with any type of soap; bar or liquid. Sea sponges are far more durable and have a longer life than a synthetic sponge due to their resistance to abrasion.

The Beaming Baby Natural Sea Sponges are grown organically and sustainably harvested from the Mediterranean sea surrounding the Greek Islands. When the sponges are picked from the sea they are dark brown. Some natural sponges undergo an oxygen bleaching process that reveals the yellow colour. This natural sponge has not been chemically treated; this means that t will retain it's natural colour longer and is reported to last slightly longer.

Caring for your Sponge:

Beaming Baby recommend cleaning your natural sponge regularly to prevent soap build-up. Rinse the natural sponge under cold running water. Leave the sponge to soak in a small bowl filled mixed with 2 tablespoons of vinegar to each litre of water. Leave the sea sponge to soak for 2 hours in the liquid. Remove it from the bowl and gently shake to remove excess liquid. Leave out to dry on a clean surface.
