:
Balneum Plus is not just a moisturiser, but also provides relief from itch relief using its active ingredient lauromacrogols. Lauromacrogols is similar to a local anaesthetic, and soothes the skin to relieve itching.
Balneum Plus cream also contains urea. Urea is naturally present in the skin, and works by attracting moisture and keeping it within the skin. However, when the skin is deficient in urea (as is often the case for sufferers of eczema or dermatitis), then water can escape from the skin too easily. When Balneum cream containing urea is applied to the skin, the urea penetrates the skin to boost the skin's level of urea again. Thus, the skin can retain moisture again. In addition, Balneum cream contains emollient ingredients to help lock the moisture into the skin.
Balneum Plus bath oil contains soya oil, which acts as an emollient by clinging to the skin to help it retain moisture. The bath oil also contains lauromacrogols.
