What is Pantoloc Control?
Pantoloc Control is a medicine which treats heartburn and acid reflux. The tablets are gastro-resistant meaning that the tablet doesn't break down in the stomach where the active ingredient would be destroyed, instead the tablets dissolve in the intestine.
Who should take Pantoloc Control?
Adults (over the age of 18) who experience acid reflux can use Pantoloc as a short-term treatment. Acid reflux is when acid produced in your stomach gets into your oesophagus and causing a burning sensation called heartburn. Patients may also experience acid regurgitation where acid flows up the oesophagus and into your mouth.
How does Pantoloc Control work?
The active ingredient called pantoprazole blocks the protein cells which produce acid in your stomach. These proteins are found in specific cells in your stomach lining and by blocking these you reduce the total amount of acid your stomach which in turn relieves acid reflux.
Directions for Use:
Take one tablet a day. Take before a meal, at the same time every day. Swallow the tablet whole. Take the medicine for at least 2-3 consecutive days. Stop taking Pantoloc when you are completely symptom free. You may experience relief from acid reflux on the first day of treatment but do continue to use it for at least 2-3 consecutive days.
If you have no symptom relief after 2 weeks of taking Pantoloc please see your doctor. Do not take for longer than 4 weeks without seeking medical attention.

TAKE CARE WHEN USING PANTOLOC IF YOU HAVE HAD PREVIOUS GASTRIC CONDITIONS WHICH YOU HAVE TREATMENT FOR, IF YOU HAVE HAD ANY SUCH CONDITIONS PLEASE SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING PANTOLOC.
