Hawthorn is a member of the Roseaceae family of plants, it is a shrub that can be found in gardens as well as wild hedgerows. It has long been valued for it's antioxidant properties, destroying free radicals in the body. Hawthorn also acts as a relaxant, helping with insomnia and the nervous system, it can improve circulation and dilates blood vessels too.
The active compounds in Hawthorn include a range of flavonoids including rutin and proanthocyanidins. These compounds are highly concentrated in Hawthorn leaves and flowers. Consequently, Lamberts Hawthorn extract is derived from these aerial portions of the plant. lamberts extract is standardised upon its flavonoid content of 2% making it a high potency product.
Dosage: 1 daily for a minimum of 6 weeks.
Disintegration Time: Less than 1 hour.
Suitable for vegetarians.
