About the moisturising agents in ACP Extra Strength Body Lotion... UREA acts as a hydrating agent. It softens epidermal keratin (hard, dry skin cells), enabling them to absorb and retain moisture and water from the cream, into the top layers of skin. This is a process known as hydropic solubilisation. LACTIC ACID helps basal cells to rebuild their protective barrier. The lactic acid acts as an exfoliant, removing old skin cells and allowing new ones to grow. The new skin feels smooth, elastic and flexible which enhances the skin's natural barrier. SILK PROTEIN is a natural moisturiser that is quickly absorbed in to the skin, leaving it feeling smooth, supple and fresh. Directions: Apply sparingly to damp skin. Use twice a day for best results.
