The more overweight you are the more likely you are to acquire high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes. You also increase the likelihood of suffering a stroke and your general quality of life can be effected such as sleeplessness and breathing problems.
It is never too late to lose weight sensibly by introducing some daily exercise and reducing your calorie intake and/or modifying your diet.
Just eating less is not a healthy or long term method of managing your weight. Here are some tips to lose that excess weight and keep it off for good!- Eat Breakfast.
- Reduce the size of your portions.
- Gradually include some lower fat foods into your meals.
- Eat more fibre which can be found in high bran cereals, fruit and vegetables - or you can supplement your diet with a soluble fibre such as Fibre-Sure or Fybogel.
- Have a treat!...but save it until you can sit down, relax and really enjoy it.
- Have 3 meals a day and try and keep to regular times.
- Burn some calories by exercising with aerobic exercises.
- Give your metabolism a boost by increasing your muscle mass with resistance exercises.
- Do not feel guilty if you have indulged on a day or two.
