Concurrent studies have also been conducted in New Zealand to isolate and characterise the active principle in Green Lipped Mussel Extract; GLME. These suggest that the activity resides in a protein fraction and that its properties are unique and not demonstrated by other types of shellfish. Further research investigating the properties of GLME; has been published in Japan. This GLME; formula is in a hard gelatin capsule containing 350mg GLME.
