This gel works by dissolving the hair, so is not painful in the same way that using the Veet wax strips would be. Directions For first-time use, start with a small area to see how long you need to leave the cream on for. Ensure that the skin is dry and clean. Apply the cream evenly with the palms of the hands, ensuring that none of the hair is left uncovered. Then wash your hands thoroughly. Ignore the supplied spatula for the moment. The spatula is for removing the hair rather than applying the cream. For first-time use, leave the gel to dry for exactly 4 minutes. The timing is crucial! Use the spatula to remove the gel. Again, the first time, you should try a small area. If the hair comes away easily, then use the spatula to remove all of the cream. Note that you must use the spatula to remove the hair, otherwise it will not work! This is because the cream works by dissolving the protein structures in the hair and softening the hair within the skin. You need the spatula because it is hard and relatively sharp and will break the hairs. If you just pull at the hairs with your hands then nothing will happen! If you find that the hairs do not come away, then leave the cream on for a bit longer, up to a maximum of 6 minutes. If you exceed 6 minutes, then you risk irritating the skin. Use Veet for Men Gel on the arms, chest, legs, back, shoulders, bum-cheeks and the hair that sticks out around your briefs. However, you should not apply Veet to the face or scalp, the genitals (particularly the testicles) or around the "undercarriage" (i.e. inbetween the bum-cheeks, around the anus or perineum). The skin is too sensitive there and it will hurt! Th first-time you use Veet for Men Gel, test on a small area to ensure that your skin does not react. In the long term, you will get the hang of how long to apply it for and where to apply it. You should also wait a day or so before applying anti-perspirant after using the Veet. Do not use on broken or sunburnt skin. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
