Frio Wallets - Keeps your Insulin cool and safe. Frio Cooling Insulin Wallets provide an ideal and safe environment to keep insulin cool. When activated by cold water the wallet will keep insulin within the safe temperatures of 18-26°C (64.4-78.8°F). The crystals contained in the panels of the wallet will expand into a gel, when emerged in cold water, which remains cool for 45 hours. Although the wallet is activated by water, after towel-drying, the wallet is dry to the touch.
Simply activate with cold water.

This Frio Insulin Cooling Travel Wallet - Extra Large is most suitable for carrying insulin and pens for long stay trips or expeditions. It will hold various combinations as follows:
8 x Insulin Injector disposable pens
OR
20 cartridges (3ml or 1.5ml)
OR
8 x 10ml vials (bottles).
OR
3 x innolet injectors
Please note: If you have a Saline or Humapen, then this wallet may only hold 6-7 pens due to thickness of pen.
The FRIO wallet is also suitable to use with other medications that can be stored at room temperature such as glaucoma eye drops, Growth Hormone, anaphylactic shock therapies etc. However, it is advised that users of medication other than insulin check with their doctor or pharmacist or the manufacturer's information leaflet for the specific safe storage requirements.
Dimensions: Inner Wallet: 155mm x 210mm (8.5" x 6.5" approx)
Directions: Crystals contained in the panels of the wallet expand into a gel, which remains cool for 45 hours. To activate the crystals, the pouch must be immersed in water for as little as 5 minutes (depending on size). Once the crystals have gelled, the insulin can be stored inside and will remain cool for 45 hours - relying on the process of evaporation for cooling.
