Facial redness (facial erythema) is the term given to redness of the skin of the face. The condition can be caused by many different things, such as congested capillaries, infection, allergies, sunburn, grooming, physical exertion and reaction to medication. Rosacea, Idiopathic Craniofacial Erythema (severe facial blushing) and Facial Hyperhidrosis are all conditions associated with a reddening of the face.
Facial redness can be embarrassing for some, especially if it happens without warning or they have no control over it. It can be linked with social anxiety and emotions such as embarrassment, shame and even modesty. The condition can become a serious problem for some sufferers, effecting their lives to such an extent that they may avoid social situations, shy away from careers that bring them in to contact with others and even steer clear of romantic relationships.
Below we have some products that can help with facial redness, as well as advice on related conditions, such as rosacea, facial blushing, facial sweating, flushing and blemishes.
