Bonjela Adult - The Original Bonjela Oral GelFor generations, Bonjela oral gel has been used to relieve the pain and discomfort of mouth ulcers, cold sores, denture irritation and sore spots from braces. It contains the active ingredient choline salicylate, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs are a group of medicines that can help relieve pain, inflammation and high temperature. Choline salicylate is similar to, but not the same as aspirin, which is why Bonjela Adult is not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Bonjela Adult is sugar-free and has a pleasant aniseed flavour.
Directions- Adults over 16: apply half an inch of Bonjela gel to sore area not more than once every 3 hours. For denture irritation use 30 minutes before re-insertion.
- Children under 16: Due to recent advice from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Bonjela Adult should not be used in children under 16. This is a precaution only. For children over 12, use Bonjela Once.
Ingredients
Bonjela Adult contains Cetalkonium Chloride 0.01% w/w and Choline salicylate 8.714% w/w. It also contains ethanol, glycerol, menthol, hypromellose 4500, anise oil, sodium saccharin and water.
