Numark Adult Dry Cough Linctus (Dextromethorphan) - Oral Solution For Soothing, Effective Relief From Dry, Tickly Coughs.
Cough suppressant for the symptomatic relief of dry unproductive, irritating coughs.
Directions for Use: Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years - Two 5ml spoonfuls up to four times daily. Children 7-12 years - One 5ml spoonful up to four times daily. Children under 7 - Not recommended.
Warning: Do not exceed the stated dose. May cause drowsiness and dizziness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drink. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or during a severe asthma attack. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you suffer from liver disease. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, particularly central nervous system depressants (those that cause drowsiness), or within two weeks of taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors including furazolidone, pargyline and procarbazine. The colouring E124 may cause allergic-type reactions including asthma. Allergy is more common in those who are allergic to aspirin. Other side effects may be nausea, vomiting, stomach ache or diarrhoea. Due to its sorbitol content the product is unsuitable for use in the case of heriditory fructose intolerance. If symptoms persist, or you accidently take too much or experience any unusual side effects, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Ingredients: ACTIVE: EACH 5ML DOSE CONTAINS DEXTROMETHORPGAN AND HYDROBROMINE BP 10MG. GLUCOSE SYRUP, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, SORBITOL SOLUTION (E420), MENTHOL, ORANGE FLAVOUR, PONCEAU 4R (E124), ANHYDROUS CITRIC ACID, SACCHARIN SODIUM AND PURIFIED WATER. EACH 5ML DOSE CONTAINS 0.55G GLUCOSE.
