Osteoguard Synergy is a sweet soluble powder that easily dissolves in hot drinks or can be sprinkled onto cereals or puddings. It is a source of dietary fibre which on reaching the bowl is broken down by friendly bacteria into short chain fatty acids which help to generate the pH level. This is believed to improve the conditions for calcium absorption. Impressively, trials have indicated that taking just 8g daily can increase dietary calcium absorption by 20%, which is a highly significant improvement. For this reason this product should be considered in any situations where calcium uptake is of prime importance.

The active ingredient in Osteoguard Synergy is a special long chain carbohydrate derived from inulin, a soluble fibre, that is naturally present in some vegetables, and in this product it is derived from chicory roots.
An invaluable supplement for those concerned about their calcium intake. It is ideally suited to be taken alongside Lamberts Osteoguard tablets and for optimal effect, we'd recommend this approach.
Dosage: Take 8g daily. 1 teaspoon = 4g.
If 8g causes flatulence* then reduce the dose to 4g and gradually build up. Be sure to drink at least 2 litres of fluids a day.
*If excessive flatulence is caused then reduce the dose and gradually build up. Flatulence is actually a positive sign that the soluble fibre is feeding he friendly bacteria in the bowel. As they consume the fibre a gas is produced which can lead to some flatulence at first, however this soon disappears.
Suitable for vegetarians.
