What Is Swimmer's Ear (Otitis Externa)?Otitis externa is inflammation of the external ear canal, the tube between the ear drum and the outer ear. It is also known as 'tropical ear' or 'swimmers ear' because it is sometimes triggered by water entering the ear canal, as well as in more humid countries. The condition affects roughly 1% of the population each year in Britain, and is slightly more common in women than men.Before using a new bottle of Earol:Before using a new bottle of Earol Swim, warm the bottle in palm of hand, shake well, then press the actuator down 3 or 4 times until you get a spray. When doing this do not point the actuator at yourself or anyone else. This procedure will prime the system and ensure the product is ready to use.Directions for Use- Apply Earol Swim to both ears before entering the water. Pull the upper ear or Pinna upwards and backwards.
- Holding the bottle in an upright position with the nozzle placed into the ear canal press the actuator firmly. (A single actuation per ear should be sufficient.)
- Massage gently the Tragus just in front of the ear.
- The actuator button can be removed and rinsed in hot water after use and then seated back on the stem.
Additional InformationOlive oil is a natural product and has wide daily applications; as such, no side-effects have been reported with this product or with this product interacting with other medicines. However, this product should not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to Olive oil.- There are no known harmful side-effects when using this product during pregnancy and/or breast-feeding; however, you should always inform your doctor before use.
- There are no known side-effects from over or under dosing with this product.
- If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this product and inform your doctor or pharmacy immediately.
Warnings- Earol Swim is for single person use only.
- Always store Earol Swim spray in the case provided at normal room temperature.
- The prodcut should be discarded six months after first application.
- This product may not prevent swimmer's ear if applied to wet or dirty ears.
- Dispose of the product as per local authority advice.
- Do not spray near naked flame.
- Earol Swim is non-medicinal, however, always remember to keep all medicines in a safe place where children cannot reach them.
- Earol Swim is only for use in the ear canal. Do not spray near eyes, nose or mouth.
